Taking students’ safety into her own hands

Nicole Ochotoreno, dubbed as “Mama Bear” by University of Arizona students, has been making sure students have a safe ride home each night for the past four years. Nicole’s story goes back to her childhood. She was in an auto accident at nine years old and was bullied constantly for her facial injuries. She has created a large presence on campus and gets joy from the community she has created driving for Über.
